City of Lincoln Thanks Schrock Innovations for Recycling Commitment

City of Lincoln NebraskaLast week Schrock Innovations received a letter from the City of Lincoln regarding our support of America Recycles Day.

Each year students and businesses across Lincoln pledge to commit themselves to recycle more in the coming year. Each pledge is placed in a box and a drawing is conducted.

As we have done in the past, we donated a computer system to this year’s pledge winner. Here is the text from the letter we received from Gene Hanlon, Lancaster County’s Recycling Coordinator:

Schrock’s Omaha Service Center Featured
in World Herald’s Business Makeover

Thor Schrock

In the Money section of today’s Omaha World Herald Schrock Innovations was featured as a “business makeover”. After our recent improvements to our Lincoln Service Center, our Omaha location is paling in comparison and I know we need to do something about it.

We have a set of plans in place for it, but when Stephanie Monge offered me the opportunity to sit down with not just one, but a team of consultants about our plans I could not pass it up. Here is the article as it appeared in the paper today:

Schrock Notebooks Key in Extreme Makeover Home Edition’s Lincoln Effort

Unless you have been living under a rock you know that Ty’s Team with Extreme Makeover Home Edition is replacing a home in Havlock this week.

What you may not know is that the technology required to coordinate the estimated 1,500 needed volunteers is also being provided by Schrock Innovations.

The Home Builder’s Association of Lincoln (HBAL) called Schrock Innovations in early October about Project 411 – the code name for the planned renovation of the Machacek family home.

It was estimated that the build team would need more than 1,500 volunteers to complete the build within the one-week time frame, and HBAL needed an easy way to coordinate the schedules, skills, and abilities of the volunteers involved.
