This uninstall MoviePass tutorial is a multi-page tutorial, so be certain to follow the links below and follow all directions precisely. To read more details about MoviePass and their MediaPipe software, read our press release about MoviePass and their MediaPipe software here.

MoviePass is described by its maker as an “Internet-based multi channel entertainment browser.” You may have intentionally or unintentionally installed the MoviePass / MediaPipe software on your computer by clicking an advertisement on a web page.

The MoviePass software grants you a free trial period during which you can use the MoviePass services. Once the MoviePass / MediaPipe software trial expires, you are required to cancel your MoviePass / MediaPipe account to avoid being billed for the MoviePass service. You will see continual pop-up warnings that increase in frequency informing you that your MoviePass / MediaPipe trial is expired. If you see these popups, you already have a MoviePass / MediaPipe account, and you MUST cancel your MoviePass account if you wish to discontinue service. MoviePass / MediaPipe also transmits a list of all installed programs on your computer back to the MoviePass / Media Pipe organization. MoviePass claims that this helps them overcome any software “conflicts,” but it has earned them a designation of Spyware from Schrock Innovations.

*note* UPDATED UNINSTALL MOVIEPASS INSTRUCTIONS:The MoviePass website has updated their terms and conditions. In uppercase bold letters they now state that if you use the MoviePass trial service, the MoviePass and MediaPipe software will remain on your computer until you meet your “obligations”
(i.e. pay them a subscription fee). Even the uninstall MoviePass link in your Add/Remove programs will not eliminate the MoviePass / MediaPipe software.

MoviePass used to offer a toll-free number to cancel and uninstall MoviePass, however they have since routed that number to voicemail. In case you need the MoviePass toll-free number, it is: (866) 431-7720. They have now created a uninstall MoviePass customer service cancellation web page where you can request that your MediaPipe software be canceled and uninstall MoviePass software. You can attempt to complete their uninstall MoviePass cancellation instructions, however reports indicate that when users visit the page,
MoviePass demands money to uninstall MoviePass popups from your computer. To attempt their uninstall MoviePass process, click on The MoviePass Cancellation Page and follow the uninstall MoviePass.

When you click on the link, you will be directed to a page that attempts to detect the MoviePass and MediaPipe software on your computer. If it is detected, then you will be admitted into the uninstall MoviePass cancellation area. If you attempted to uninstall MoviePass in whole or in part already, you will be prompted to reinstall MoviePass and/or MediaPipe on your PC. DO NOT REINSTALL MoviePass!! If the link takes you to a uninstall MoviePass page, do not, under any circumstances, provide any additional information about yourself such as your phone number, name, address, social security number, credit card number or bank account number to MoviePass.

Canceling your MoviePass account before you uninstall MoviePass is a technically important step. Even if you do not think you set up a MoviePass / MediaPipe account, one was set up when the MoviePass software was installed on your computer. You need to cancel your MoviePass account if at all possible before you uninstall MoviePass. If you do not cancel your MoviePass account before you uninstall MoviePass / MediaPipe, you could be billed for an entire year of MoviePass service (the price varies, but could be as much as $359.88 USD).

Further, reports indicate that if you refuse to pay MoviePass, attempt to uninstall MoviePass software without paying MoviePass, dispute the MoviePass charges on your credit card, or cancel your MoviePass account in any way that is not in accordance with the MoviePass / MediaPipe cancellation policy, that MoviePass may threaten you with bad marks on your credit report.

If you have already paid money to uninstall MoviePass, it is IMPERATIVE that you follow their uninstall MoviePass directions and cancel your MoviePass / MediaPipe account immediately before you uninstall MoviePass from your computer. To cancel your account, please visit the MoviePass / MediaPipe cancellation webpage. If you do not wish to cancel your MoviePass account or you can not access the uninstall MoviePass cancellation website, you should proceed with the uninstall MoviePass tutorial by clicking on the links below to move on to the uninstall MoviePass process.

Once you have canceled your MoviePass and/or MediaPipe account, use the links below to manually uninstall MoviePass / Mediapipe software from your PC and stop those annoying MoviePass trial software popups! The uninstall MoviePass process is quite easy and only involves 4 steps. Click Here to uninstall MoviePass / MediaPipe

MoviePass is described by its maker as an “Internet-based multi channel entertainment browser.” You may have intentionally or unintentionally installed the MoviePass’ MediaPipe software on your computer by clicking an advertisement on a web page.

While the software does what it advertises, users have reported that it is hard to remove MoviePass and the MediaPipe software when they are done with it. The MoviePass software grants you a free trial period during which you can use the MediaPipe service. According to the MoviePass Terms of Service, if your MoviePass / MediaPipe software trial expires, you are required to pay for a minimum of one month of service. To avoid incurring this charge, you would have needed to cancel your MediaPipe account before your trial expired.

MoviePass maintains that users with expired trials have entered into a binding contract and that these users now owe MoviePass money for the service they agreed to pay for. While their TOS is quite clear, there are no popup messages alerting users to this seemingly important detail until after their trial has expired and it is time to collect. The popups escalate in frequency until they disrupt your computing experience almost continually. In addition, MoviePass’ MediaPipe software also transmits a list of all installed programs on your computer back to the MoviePass / Media Pipe organization. MoviePass claims that this helps them overcome any software “conflicts,” but it has earned them a designation of Spyware from Schrock Innovations.

If you see these popups on your computer, you already have a MoviePass / MediaPipe account, and you MUST cancel your MoviePass account if you wish to discontinue service. Failure to cancel your MoviePass account could result in collection activities and damage to your credit report. In the past, MoviePass offered a telephone number for cancellation. Recently they removed that phone number and now callers report problems getting through to a MoviePass representative when they call. Updated cancellation directions are listed below.

UPDATED REMOVE MOVIEPASS INSTRUCTIONS:

The MoviePass website has updated their terms and conditions. In uppercase bold letters they now state that if you use the MoviePass trial service, the MoviePass and MediaPipe software will remain on your computer until you meet your “obligations” (i.e. pay them a subscription fee). Even the remove MoviePass link in your Add/Remove programs will not eliminate the MoviePass / MediaPipe software.

MoviePass used to offer a phone number to cancel and remove MoviePass, however they have since routed that number to voicemail. In case you need the MoviePass phone number, it is: (866) 431-7720. They have now created a remove MoviePass customer service cancellation web page where you can request that your MediaPipe software be canceled and remove MoviePass software. You can attempt to complete their remove MoviePass cancellation instructions, however reports indicate that when users visit the page, MoviePass demands money to remove MoviePass popups from your computer. To attempt their remove MoviePass process, click on The MOVIEPASS Cancellation Page and follow the remove MoviePass instructions listed there.

When you click on the link, you will be directed to a page that attempts to detect the MoviePass and MediaPipe software on your computer. If it is detected, then you will be admitted into the remove MoviePass cancellation area. If you attempted to remove MoviePass in whole or in part already, you will be prompted to reinstall MoviePass and/or MediaPipe on your PC. DO NOT REINSTALL MOVIEPASS!! If the link takes you to a remove MoviePass page, do not, under any circumstances, provide any additional information
about yourself such as your phone number, name, address, social security number, credit card number or bank account number to MoviePass.

Canceling your MoviePass account before you remove MoviePass is a technically important step. Even if you do not think you set up a MoviePass / MediaPipe account, one was set up when the MoviePass software was installed on your computer. When you installed the MediaPipe software on your PC (intentionally or not) you agreed to cancel your account before the end of your trial. While this removal tutorial doe not offer any legal or financial advice, it would be prudent to cancel your MoviePass account if at all possible before you remove MoviePass to prevent any additional debts from piling up. If you do not cancel your MoviePass account before you remove MoviePass / MediaPipe, you could be billed for an entire year of MoviePass service the price varies, but could be as much as $359.88 USD).

Further, reports indicate that if you refuse to pay MoviePass, attempt to remove MoviePass software without paying MoviePass, dispute the MoviePass charges on your credit card, or cancel your MoviePass account in any way that is not in accordance with the MoviePass / MediaPipe cancellation policy, that MoviePass may threaten you with bad marks on your credit report. Their terms of service make reference to their right to do so, although we have not found a single instance of an individual who was actually pursued.

If you have already paid money to remove MoviePass, it is IMPERATIVE that you follow their MoviePass removal directions and cancel your MoviePass / MediaPipe account before you remove MoviePass from your computer. To cancel your account, please visit the MoviePass / MediaPipe cancellation webpage. If you do not wish to cancel your MoviePass account or you can not access the remove MoviePass cancellation website, you should proceed with the remove MoviePass tutorial by clicking on the links below to move on to the remove MoviePass instructions.

Once you have canceled your MoviePass and/or MediaPipe account, use follow the steps on pages 2, 3 and 4 to manually remove MoviePass / Mediapipe software from your PC and stop those annoying MoviePass trial software popups! The remove MoviePass process is quite easy and only involves 4 simple, FREE steps.

*note* We strongly suggest that you disable System Restore before continuing. Old scraps of the MoviePass or MediaPipe software may be stored in your System Restore points. Use the links below to view a help article on disabling System Restore that is appropriate for your Operating System.

Disable System Restore in Windows XP
Disable System Restore in Windows ME

Remove MoviePass Step 1. The first step in removing the MoviePass software from your computer is to download and install the Firefox browser. You were infected with the MediaPipe software when the creators of MoviePass manipulated your Internet Explorer browser. Before the MoviePass infection on your computer can be removed, you must install a secure browser. Install Firefox on your computer – it only takes seconds and is a critical repair step. Be sure you open the Firefox browser after you install it. This is important!

Remove MoviePass Step 2. After you have installed and opened Firefox, you need to begin the MoviePass removal process. To do this, you will need to disable your System Restore in Windows ME and XP. Once you have disabled your system restore, you should because you will need to restart your PC.

Remove MoviePass Step 3. Next, you will need to boot your computer into Safe Mode. This will help ensure that the MoviePass and/or MediaPipe infections are not running while you are attempting to remove MoviePass.

Remove MoviePass Step 4. Once you are in Safe Mode, run the uninstaller that was added to your Add/remove Programs list when the MoviePass and MediaPipe software
was initially installed. To do this, open your control panels and locate the Add/Remove Programs control panel. Double click on it to open it. Uninstall any of the following
programs you find in the list of installed programs:

P2P Networks

My Access Media

MediaPipe

Download Manager

AltPatments

Notification Utility

Notify, Notifier, Notification or anything like this (these names sometimes have numbers in them)

AltBill

AltPayments

AltPayV2

DownloadManager

FileGrabber

FSupport

ITBills

LicenseManager

MPNotifier

OptimumOnline

P2PNetworks

Anything with MoviePass, MovieLand or MediaPipe in the name

*note* As you attempt to remove these MoviePass and MediaPipe programs, some of them may be in use (even in safe mode). Because of this, the removals may fail. If any attempted MoviePass removal fails, press the “Ctrl-Alt-Del” key combination on your keyboard and click on the processes tab. This is a list of every running process on your computer. The name for the running process should be similar to the name of the program MoviePass removal that failed. For example, if the removal of the “Notification Utility” program failed, you might see a running process with the word “notification” in it. Left click on any such processes, and then left click on the “End Process” button. Once the MoviePass and MediaPipe process have been ended, attempt the removal through Add/Remove Programs again.

While this seems simple enough, you are not done yet! If you restart your computer now you will be reinfected with MoviePass and MediaPipe. There are only 2 steps left in the removal process. Next you will look for specific folders on your computer that are associated with Movie Pass and MediaPipe. You will need to delete each of them to ensure you are not reinfected.

Remove MoviePass Step 5. Now that all of the applications have been removed using Add/Remove Programs, you will need to manually clean up the bits of MoviePass and MediaPipe that have been left behind. This is important to prevent reinfection with MoviePass and/or MediaPipe! To do this, open My Computer, and then double click on your C drive. Then double click on the “Program Files” folder. If you get a “These files are hidden” message, click on the link to view the files.

We have found that this process is easiest if your Program Files folder is organized in “list” view. To do this, left click on the “View” option at the top of the window, and then left click on “List.” Now you should see an alphabetized list of every program folder that is installed on your computer. We have compiled a list of all known MoviePass folders below. Compare the list of MoviePass components below against the list of programs in your Program Files folder. Right click on any folders that match and left click on the word delete.

*note* A new variant of this software may have been released. This list of files and folder was updated in June, so it should be the latest.

Because of this, the folder removals may fail. If any attempted MoviePass folder removal fails, press the “Ctrl-Alt-Del” key combination on your keyboard and click on the processes tab. This is a list of every running process on your computer. The name for the running process should be similar to the name of the program removal that failed. Left click on any such processes, and then left click on the “End Process” button. Once the process has been ended, attempt to delete the program’s folder again. If there are too many processes for you to figure out which is which, start by closing any open programs and programs represented by icons by your clock (the system tray). To close items in the system tray, you can typically right click on their icon and left click on an option to close or exit.

You are almost done! There is only

one step of the removal process left before you are rid of MoviePass and MediaPipe forever! You have removed the majority of the MoviePass infection from your computer, but now you must protest yourself against the software coming back on your system the same way it did before.

Remove MoviePass Step 6. There are still two things you must do to complete the removal process and prevent reinfection, so follow these directions carefully! and then restart your computer to exit Safe Mode. Once your computer is restarted, return to this page to continue.

Some users have reported that MoviePass has continually reinfected their computers after it has been successfully removed. To prevent this from happening to you, we recommend that you download and install the FREE Google Pack. The Google Pack contains FREE essential software which includes one of the best application on the Internet for removing spyware – Adaware Personal Edition. Downloading and installing the Google Pack over a high speed connection will take about 3 minutes, but it is WELL WORTH THE WAIT!! There are thousands of infections just like MoviePass out there that can cost you and your family big money if your computer is unprotected. Protect your family and your computer with the Google Pack.

Remove MoviePass Step 7. Once the Google Pack is installed, close all windows you have open. Do not empty your recycle bin yet. Just in case you removed one folder
too many, you can restore them from the recycle bin. The last step of the removal process is to reboot your computer. This will terminate any additional MoviePass or MediaPipe running processes, and refresh your system.

After your computer is rebooted, the remove moviepass tutorial is complete. It is important to remember that even though you have removed the MoviePass / MediaPipe software from your PC any account you may have intentionally or unintentionally established with MoviePass is still active and you may be responsible for charges on your account. If you have not done so already, please call (866) 431-7720 to cancel your MoviePass and MediaPipe account.

This is a delete MoviePass tutorial that will explain what MoviePass is (also known as MovieLand and MediaPipe), how you got MoviePass on your computer, and what you need to do IMMEDIATELY to delete MoviePass completely from your PC and cancel the MediaPipe account that has been opened for you with MoviePass for their MediaPipe software. This delete MoviePass tutorial is a multi-page tutorial, so be certain to follow the links below and follow all directions precisely.

*note* UPDATED Delete MoviePass INSTRUCTIONS: The MoviePass website has updated their terms and conditions. In uppercase bold letters they now state that if you use the MoviePass trial service, the MoviePass and MediaPipe software will remain on your computer until you meet your “obligations” (i.e. pay them a subscription fee). Even the delete MoviePass link in your Add/Remove programs will not eliminate the MoviePass / MediaPipe software.

MoviePass used to offer a toll-free number to cancel and delete MoviePass, however they have since routed that number to voicemail. In case you need the MoviePass toll-free number, it is: (866) 431-7720. They have now created a delete MoviePass customer service cancellation web page where you can request that your MediaPipe software be canceled and delete MoviePass software. You can attempt to complete their delete MoviePass cancellation instructions, however reports indicate that when users visit the page, MoviePass demands money to delete MoviePass popups from your computer. To attempt their delete MoviePass process, click on The MoviePass Cancellation Page and follow the delete MoviePass.

When you click on the link, you will be directed to a page that attempts to detect the MoviePass and MediaPipe software on your computer. If it is detected, then you will be admitted into the delete MoviePass cancellation area. If you attempted to delete MoviePass in whole or in part already, you will be prompted to reinstall MoviePass and/or MediaPipe on your PC. DO NOT REINSTALL MoviePass!! If the link takes you to a delete MoviePass page, do not, under any circumstances, provide any additional information about yourself such as your phone number, name, address, social security number, credit card number or bank account number to MoviePass.

Canceling your MoviePass account before you delete MoviePass is a technically important step. Even if you do not think you set up a MoviePass / MediaPipe account, one was set up when the MoviePass software was installed on your computer. You need to cancel your MoviePass account if at all possible before you delete MoviePass. If you do not cancel your MoviePass account before you delete MoviePass / MediaPipe, you could be billed for an entire year of MoviePass service (the price varies, but could be as much as $359.88 USD).

Further, reports indicate that if you refuse to pay MoviePass, attempt to delete MoviePass software without paying MoviePass, dispute the MoviePass charges on your credit card, or cancel your MoviePass account in any way that is not in accordance with the MoviePass / MediaPipe cancellation policy, that MoviePass may threaten you with bad marks on your credit report.

If you have already paid money to delete MoviePass, it is IMPERATIVE that you follow their delete MoviePass directions and cancel your MoviePass / MediaPipe account immediately before you delete MoviePass from your computer. To cancel your account, please visit the MoviePass / MediaPipe cancellation webpage. If you do not wish to cancel your MoviePass account or you can not access the delete MoviePass cancellation website, you should proceed with the delete MoviePass tutorial by clicking on the links below to move on to the delete MoviePass process.

Once you have canceled your MoviePass and/or MediaPipe account, Click Here to manually delete MoviePass / Mediapipe software from your PC and stop those annoying MoviePass trial software popups! The delete MoviePass process is quite easy and only involves 3 steps.

When Microsoft released Windows XP Home and Professional in 2001, there was a major emphasis placed on dealing with the dreaded “Blue Screen of Death” or BSOD for short. In Windows 98 and ME when there was a problem with your computer, a Blue Screen of Death would appear with some information about what caused the problem.

Most people did not know what to do with the BSODs, so they ended up taking their PCs into a repair shop. Frequently the solution was to simply reboot the PC. So to better deal with these problems, Microsoft included an “automatically restart” feature in Windows XP that would automatically restart the computer when a Blue Screen of Death appeared.

While this sounds good in theory, some BSOD’s appear over and over again on each boot up. When this happens, the computer boots, hits a BSOD, restarts, and hits another BSOD so it restarts again. This Blue Screen of Death loop is difficult to escape.

If you are not currently afflicted by this problem we suggest you follow these steps below to prevent it from occurring:

Left click on Start

Right click on My computer

Left click on “Properties”

Left click on the “Advanced” tab

Uncheck the check box next to “Automatically Restart”

Left click on Apply and left click on ok

*note* If your computer will boot into Safe Mode you may be able to avoid the BSOD and complete the above procedure.

If you are already stuck in a BSOD loop, then follow these instructions to restore your computer to its old self again:

Find your original Windows XP CD that came with your computer

Insert your Windows XP CD into your CD drive

Restart your computer

Press a key when you see “Press any key to boot from CD..”

After the CD boots, press enter

Press F8 to agree to the terms

Press the R key on your keyboard

Let the process proceed

*note* If you do not have the R option at this point you may have booted form the wrong XP CD. You must boot from the CD that corresponds to the version of Windows you have installed on your computer (Either Home or Pro). If you do not get the R option, you should take your computer in for service as your hard drive may be damaged.

DO NOT attempt to reinstall Windows if you do not have the Repair option!

Once your computer completes the repair process, you should immediately follow the procedure at the top of this page to disable Windows XP’s automatically restart feature. There is a good chance that a driver or program caused the problem in the first place, so disable the automatically restart feature now before it happens again!

You may also have to reinstall some drivers, so have your Motherboard CD and any other driver disks handy. Don’t forget to download your Windows Updates, as all previous updates were removed during the repair process.
