Over the past week Intel has released 2 versions of a patch designed to close a security loophole in their PROSet Wireless software and driver package that is preinstalled on all Intel Centrino-based notebook and laptop computers.

The original problem could allow an attacker to take control of your computer through a security loophole. Intel subsequently released a patch that closed that loophole. However, that Intel patch also caused memory leaks and application crashes. With all of the patches it is hard to know which one is the latest.
