Remove MoviePass Mediapipe Software From Your Computer... continued
*note*
We strongly suggest that you disable System Restore before continuing. Old scraps
of the MoviePass or MediaPipe software may be stored in your System Restore points.
Use the links below to view a help article on disabling System Restore that is
appropriate for your Operating System. Disable

| Remove
MoviePass Step 1. The first step in removing the MoviePass software from your
computer is to download
and install the Firefox browser. You were infected with the MediaPipe software
when the creators of MoviePass manipulated your Internet Explorer browser. Before
the MoviePass infection on your computer can be removed, you must install a secure
browser. Install Firefox on your computer - it only takes seconds and is a critical
repair step. Be sure you open the Firefox browser after you install it. This is
important! | |
Remove MoviePass Step 2. After you have installed
and opened Firefox, you need to begin the MoviePass removal process. To do this,
you will need to disable your System
Restore in Windows ME and XP. Once you have disabled your system restore,
you should because you will need to restart your PC. Remove MoviePass
Step 3. Next, you will need to boot
your computer into Safe Mode. This will help ensure that the MoviePass and/or
MediaPipe infections are not running while you are attempting to remove MoviePass.
Remove
MoviePass Step 4. Once you are in Safe Mode, run the uninstaller that was
added to your Add/remove Programs list when the MoviePass and MediaPipe software
was initially installed. To do this, open your control panels and locate the Add/Remove
Programs control panel. Double click on it to open it. Uninstall any of the following
programs you find in the list of installed programs: - P2P Networks
- My
Access Media
- MediaPipe
- Download Manager
- AltPatments
- Notification
Utility
- Notify, Notifier, Notification or anything like this (these
names sometimes have numbers in them)
- AltBill
- AltPayments
- AltPayV2
- DownloadManager
- FileGrabber
- FSupport
- ITBills
- LicenseManager
- MPNotifier
- OptimumOnline
- P2PNetworks
- Anything
with MoviePass, MovieLand or MediaPipe in the name

*note*
As you attempt to remove these MoviePass and MediaPipe programs, some of them
may be in use (even in safe mode). Because of this, the removals may fail. If
any attempted MoviePass removal fails, press the "Ctrl-Alt-Del" key
combination on your keyboard and click on the processes tab. This is a list of
every running process on your computer. The name for the running process should
be similar to the name of the program MoviePass removal that failed. For example,
if the removal of the "Notification Utility" program failed, you might
see a running process with the word "notification" in it. Left click
on any such processes, and then left click on the "End Process" button.
Once the MoviePass and MediaPipe process have been ended, attempt the removal
through Add/Remove Programs again.
While this seems simple enough, you are not done yet! If you restart
your computer now you will be reinfected with MoviePass and MediaPipe.
There are only 2 steps left in the removal process. Next you will look
for specific folders on your computer that are associated with Movie Pass
and MediaPipe. You will need to delete each of them to ensure you are
not reinfected.
